Planned dataverse outage from 17 February to max. 1 March 2020

We're updating Dataverse and expanding our IT infrastructure in preparation for the next major steps to improve the quality of our services.

Our data repository, accessible at, will be unavailable from 17 February, 2pm, to 1 March, 8pm at the latest. During this period, we will perform a major upgrade of Dataverse to extend the technical infrastructure. The upgrade includes an improved user interface, new login options and a faster - and even more secure - data portal.

During the upgrade you won't be able to directly access and download our research data. When accessing you will be redirected to a maintenance page with all important and current information. We kindly ask you to download any data you may need during the outage in advance. In urgent exceptional cases (e.g. to prepare for teaching) users* can contact

The timeout will end with the successful upgrade of Dataverse, no later than March 1, 2020, which means that the portal will be accessible to everyone again when the summer semester and courses begin.

Our website and our NESSTAR data archive with historical data will not be affected by the upgrade.
