Research data management (RDM) is becoming increasingly important in all stages of the research process. This webinar, hosted by AUSSDA in cooperation with Infra4NextGen, provides an overview of research data management in the social sciences and offers an introduction on how to implement best practices throughout the research data life cycle from planning to publishing.
In more detail, the webinar will cover an introduction to the following aspects including guidance on where to find more information:
- What is a data management plan (DMP) and what should it contain
- How to make your data FAIR (Finable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
- What are personal data and how can you handle them
After completing the webinar, participants will:
- Understand that RDM is essential in every step along the research data life cycle
- Be able to identify personal data and know some basics of how to handle them
- Know how FAIR data are defined and have an idea how to comply
- Understand why a DMP is important
- Know the criteria to choose a repository
