‘With the University for Continuing Education Krems joining the AUSSDA consortium, we are shaping the future of research data. This cooperation will further strengthen the diversity and quality of available data resources, especially in the field of higher education research. Together, we will promote the reuse of data, develop innovative solutions for research projects and offer real added value to the research community,’ says Lars Kaczmirek, Head of the Core Facility AUSSDA at the Vienna University Library.
AUSSDA provides researchers at the University of Continuing Education Krems with a certified, trustworthy repository in which their data is stored long-term and made accessible for teaching and further research. This makes it easier to fulfil the FAIR principles and funding requirements - also because AUSSDA offers professional advice and training in the field of research data management. We can further expand and strengthen this service by gaining this new partner.
Viktoria Weber, Vice-Rector for Research and Sustainable Development at the University for Continuing Education Krems, also emphasises the relevance of the close cooperation: ‘We see AUSSDA - The Austrian Social Science Data Archive as an important partner institution of the University for Continuing Education Krems. Our participation supports the university's open access policy as well as its research data management. AUSSDA makes an important contribution to recording social science research data and making it accessible to the scientific community."
The AUSSDA team is looking forward to realising common goals.
