Webinar: Introduction to RDM in the Social Sciences

AUSSDA – The Austrian Social Science Data Archive offers a free workshop for researchers and doctoral students from the Social Sciences who want to understand best practices of research data management. The online training will take place on 28th February, 2024.

 

Research data management (RDM) is becoming increasingly important in all stages of the research process. This webinar provides an overview of research data management in the Social Sciences, and offers guidance on how to implement best practices throughout the research data life cycle from planning to publishing.

In the webinar, we will

  • give a short introduction to research data management in the Social Sciences

  • introduce best practices to data management, including Open Science practices and data reuse

  • focus on sensitive/personal data and

  • present how to work with Social Science data, both quantitative and qualitative.

Participants will have the chance to ask questions, apply what they have learned with practical exercises and discuss their specific concerns in smaller groups and the plenary session.
