"With the Vienna University of Economics and Business, one of the largest and most modern business universities in Europe is joining the AUSSDA consortium, sending a strong signal for the future of research data management in economics. As the central contact point for research data in this discipline, WU Vienna will play a key role in the acquisition, processing and archiving of economic data. The expertise of its specialised data stewards, who provide researchers with targeted advice and support in the provision of data, is particularly valuable. In addition, WU Vienna will integrate AUSSDA services into teaching and research, offer training courses on Open Science and data management and actively participate in the strategic development of AUSSDA. This partnership not only strengthens transparency and reproducibility in research, but also creates sustainable added value for the entire scientific community," explains Dr Lars Kaczmirek, Head of the Core Facility AUSSDA at the Vienna University Library.
The AUSSDA team is looking forward to working closely with the new partner institution WU. AUSSDA provides their researchers with a certified repository that also fulfils all Open Science requirements in Horizon Europe, facilitating compliance with the FAIR principles and other funding guidelines.
"Joining AUSSDA is an essential piece of the puzzle in WU Vienna's efforts to provide our researchers with the best possible research infrastructure and to give the wider scientific community access to the broad spectrum of WU research," says Bernadette Kamleitner, Vice Rector for Research and Third Mission at WU Vienna.
