We are a data infrastructure for the social science community in Austria and offer a variety of research support services, primarily data archiving and help with data re-use. We make social science data accessible, creating opportunities for research and data reuse. Since July 2020, we have been certified with the Core Trust Seal (CTS) as a "trustworthy data repository".

In May 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will take effect and shape data protection laws all over Europe. AUSSDA will help social scientists in Austria identify the issues concerning data protection that may be of relevance to their work.

This week the “CESSDA DataverseEU” project kickoff took place in Vienna. What will we do in this project? Together with our European partners we will improve our archive solution. The DataverseEU project refines and develops functionalities, like a multilingual user interface.

The CESSDA (Consortium of European Social Science Data Archives) expert tour guide is a cooperative effort of eleven European archives. The guide provides in-depth information on data management across the data life cycle. AUSSDA was involved in the development and witnessed the launch in Ljubljana yesterday.

On December 5th, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) not only announced the exclusion of the Russian Olympic team in Lausanne, simultaneously the Swiss city also acted as the venue for the European DDI user conference.
